TO THE PELICAN LODGE

We spent the early part of the morning birding around the grounds of our lodge, before heading up the mountain to Providencia Road within Quetzals National Park.

Then we will be headed south down the Panamerican Road #2 and stopped at the summit of the mountain to look for some of the special Paramo species such as Volcano Junco and Timberline Wren.

We returned to the restaurant at the highlands before continuing with our drive in the Valley of San Isidro.

We arrived at the
El Pelicano Lodge  in the late afternoon where we immediately started scoring new species.
